Here in Florida it may be mid-March, but it's beginning to feel like summer already- steady 80s for the week, a little rain here and there, feels great.
I think I'm going to use this journal as kind of a rant (so be prepared) since I haven't written anything in about 3 months.
Back in mid-October, my normal desktop crapped out, due to a corrupt Windows Update, and at this point is unrecoverable, so I've been lucky enough to have been able to use the family laptop for school work and the surfing of the interwebs. But now I want my desktop back, and that leads me to problem #1: $$$$$. It costs big bucks to get a new computer. I am a frequent PC gamer, and when I was messing around on a "build-your-own computer" site, while keeping the cost down, I hovered around $700, which is really a bargain for the type of machine I want. This week while counting my "free" or "splurging" money, I quickly realized I didn't have as much as I thought, let alone enough to get a brand new PC. Sooooo this leads me to grand idea #1: get a job

Crazy, right? My partner-in-crime

suggested Books-A-Million

since I had no friggen' clue where I could work at as an entry level employee. What worked out even better is that, according to the website, there is an open spot for a "bookseller", which is a general employee of the establishment- putting away books, ringing up customers, etc. Stuff I'm definitely willing to do. The checks at the end of every two weeks or so would only motivate me to work harder since I would know that I'm however much closer to my goal of raising enough money to get myself a new computer. And who knows, if I become patient enough, I could get even more money and splurge on the computer with higher-end components

But I digress- moral of this story: I'm applying tomorrow for a job and I hope to make lots of monayyyyyyyy

Secondly, to kind of tie into what I just wrote above, I've been focusing quite a bit on photography lately. And I'm not afraid of a shameless plug to my photography page ----->

<----- I take pride in my work, and (at least I hope) you can tell by looking at my gallery that I've been improving with my technique over the past three months. I love photography so much, and has allowed me to see the world in a whole new way. My Rebel's viewfinder is my rose-colored glasses in a way; something as simple as a window with light shining through turns into a half an hour photoshoot with multiple angles. And I enjoy every minute of it. At the moment I only have a 18-55mm lens that came with the body of the camera and a carrying case, and would like to eventually purchase the 75-300mm lens for around $150-200 so that I may focus more on macro and distance photography. Obviously that is also a good sum of money, so after I get a new computer, my salary would then go towards new accessories for my camera. And after that, I would still keep the job to help pay for college (don't get me started on college and funds for that :/ ).
Andddddd as a final point- long story short, I have fallen in love with Panic! at the Disco's new album "Vices & Virtues" due out March 22nd. I really liked the band's first album, fell off during their second album, and now after first being reeled in by "The Ballad of Mona Lisa" and their short "The Overture" I knew I had to purchase this album. Right now it's streaming on their Facebook page, and it's all I listen to all day. I suggest you check them out again if you liked their first album, but maybe didn't like their second album as much like I did. You won't regret it. You really can't compare their song style to any other band's, and that's what I like so much about them. So theatrical yet catchy

And thank you very much for taking the time to read all that crap above. I had to rant. Didn't do that much in a long time.
Until next time~
